The McLean Citizens Association (MCA), with support from McLean, Langley and George C. Marshall high schools, is planning an upcoming summer-job fair, and is seeking participation by prospective employers.

The event will be held on March 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McLean Community Center.

While MCA’s job fair was snowed out last year, it 2021 job fair was a big success, with 21 employers and 250 students attending, organizers said. With a tight labor market, this is employers’ opportunity to recruit capable high-school students, they said.

Employers who have paid summer opportunities and would like to participate in the job fair should contact Mary Barnes of McLean High School at mkbarnes@fcps.edu. Space is limited and there are only a few employer opportunities available.

No sign-up required for high-school students to participate; they just can walk in.

Organizers recommend students bring copies of their résumé to leave with potential employers. Students will have the opportunity to fill out applications on the spot.
