Oakton High to induct 28 new sports Hall of Fame members

School will hold two ceremonies

With 28 new inductees, Oakton High School will holds its second Sports Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Herndon from noon until 2:30 p.m.

The night before at Oakton’s 7 p.m. home varsity football game against Westfield, some of the 2023 inductees also will be introduced.

The inductees are Lev Kritsky (Class of 1973, football), Tony De Luca (Class of 1977 golf, basketball), Thor Kritsky (Class of 1978, football), Arn Kritsky (Class of 1979, football), Michael T. Evanoff (Class of 1980, football, wrestling), Kathy Erickson (Class of 1981, soccer), Jill Bartley Jones (Class of 1986, field hockey, basketball, softball),   Chris Scaglione (Class of 1987, football, basketball, soccer), Eugene Chung (Class of 1987, football track and field), John McManus (Class of1994, wrestling), Katie (Scott) Talley (Class of 1997, basketball, soccer), Halina Obremsky Miller (Class of1998, diving), Buddy Teschner (Class of 1999, football, baseball), Mark Kimener (Class of 1999,  football, wrestling, lacrosse), Brooke (Parker) King (Class 1999, basketball, soccer), Megan (Scott) Kuemmerlin (Class of 2001, basketball, field hockey), Melissa ”Missy” Somadelis (Class of 2000, soccer, field hockey, basketball, track and field).

Also, Terry Kimener (Class of 2003, lacrosse, football), Jesse McCarrick (Class of 2006, softball), Chris Coyer (Class of 2009, football, basketball), Jack Tyler (Class of 2009, football, lacrosse), Bradley Phillips, Class of 2010, swimming), Carly Palmucci (Class of 2012, lacrosse), Katherine Coyer (Class of 2012, basketball, soccer), Caroline Coyer (Class of 2012, basketball, soccer), Lou Nugent (1999-2017, contributor), Scott Rowland (2000-08, baseball coach) and the 2012 state-champion girls basketball team.
