Vienna police dispatched officers to the 200 block of James Drive, S.W., on Jan. 26 at 3:01 a.m. to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle whose occupants were playing loud music and shining a flashlight in the area.

Upon speaking with the driver, the officer noticed signs of impairment. A juvenile also was present in the car. After searching the vehicle, police reportedly found drugs inside.

Police arrested the driver, a 19-year-old Fairfax man, and took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where authorities issued and executed five warrants against him. Charges against the man included distributing drugs to minors, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possessing marijuana while being underage, being drunk in public and possessing tobacco products as a minor.

Authorities held the man on a $2,500 secured bond and later handed him over to the custody of the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office.
