PHOTOS: Rain doesn't dampen spirit at McLean Day celebration

There was still plenty to do at Lewinsville Park during two days of fun

Attendees had to dodge some raindrops, but opportunities for thrills, chills and other types of fun were all part of the mix during the 2024 McLean Day celebration, held May 17-18 at Lewinsville Park.

With a history dating back more than a century, the festival – run by the McLean Community Center – serves both as a fun community event and also as a slightly-before-Memorial-Day transition from the spring to summer seasons.

Mother Nature was not at her most cooperative this year, with rainstorms dampening some of the activity on Saturday. But there still was plenty of fun to be had.
