'Leadership Center for Excellence' is now 'Leadership Center of Arlington'

New logo of the Leadership Center of Arlington, formerly the Leadership Center for Excellence.

It began life as Leadership Arlington, then expanded its name to Leadership Center for Excellence.

And now, it will be known as the Leadership Center of Arlington.

The renewed identity “reflects the Leadership Center of Arlington’s updated mission, vision and values,” said board chair Stephen Leach. “It thoughtfully honors the pioneers and successes of more than 25 years of leadership programming, while also igniting possibilities for future community and regional impact.”

Supporting the new name is a reimagined visual identity. At the heart of the new logo, an “A” signifies the organization’s being based in Arlington. A flame represents the illuminating power of connecting leaders for personal growth, civic engagement and community impact.

The leadership-development organization began as an adjunct of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, and later emerged as a stand-alone operation with a wide array of programming for adults and youth.

“There are many ways to engage with the Leadership Center of Arlington,” said its president/CEO, Lisa Fikes. “While based in Arlington, our programs offer individuals a chance to listen and learn from a diversity of voices and experiences, grow from new relationships and understandings, and use those experiences to meet the challenges of an evolving world.”

The organization’s Website address, leadercenter.org, remains the same.

The organization will celebrate its new identity and vision at its annual leadership summit, slated for May 16.
