The Arlington County Democratic Committee outperformed expectations, raising $52,000 during its annual Blue Victory Dinner in April.
“This is going to do wonders,” said Paul Ruiz, the party’s deputy chair, of the fund-raising haul at the organization’s May 1 monthly meeting.
The goal for the event, the biggest Arlington Democratic fund-raiser of the year, was $48,001, Ruiz said.
Co-chairs of the event were Bryant Atkins and Maureen Walsh.
