On April 30 at 1:02 a.m., a man was walking in the 4200 block of Fairfax Drive when another man approached him from behind, struck him with an unknown object and fled the scene on foot, Arlington police said.
The victim sustained what were described as serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect is described as a male of unknown race, with black hair and wearing dark clothing.
