'Safety summit' to focus on needs of seniors in McLean

The McLean Citizens Association and McLean Community Center are inviting seniors, parents, caregivers and family members to attend a Senior Safety Summit on April 26 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Community Center.

Topics to be covered include community risk reduction, search-and-rescue operations for missing persons, financial crimes against senior citizens, and crime prevention and safety, including discussions about romance scams and business frauds.

There will be a question-and-answer session, as well.

The event, developed in collaboration with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department and Fairfax County Police Department, is free of charge and no registration is required.
