Flint Hill's Michayla Eisenberg won the girls state private-school diving championship.

She saved her best for last.

Flint Hill Huskies senior diver Michayla Eisenberg finished her high-school career by winning the girls private-school state championship with a 506.7 point total, the highest in her prep career.

The state title was her second in a row, dominating and winning by 186 points this season and finishing second as a sophomore.

The victory was the fourth of the season in the four major high-school meets Eisenberg entered. Coming first was winning the Independent School League championship, then the Washington Metropolitan Prep School Swim Dive League championships, followed by the Washington Metropolitan Interscholastic crown.

In order, her winning point totals in those three meets were 419.35, 456.65 and 467.55.

“I’m really happy with my season and how I ramped up with my scores getting higher at each of those big meets,” Eisenberg told the GazetteLeader.

At this season’s state meet, Eisenberg competed in the same pool where she will dive in college for Virginia Tech.

“It was so fun and a great experience to dive at that pool,” Eisenberg said. “That made the end to my high-school career really special.”

Eisenberg dives year round for the Dominion Dive Club. During the summer, she dives and coaches for the Overlee team of the Northern Virginia Swimming League.

From the Oakcrest School at the girls state diving meet, Norah Kissinger was third and Mary Abela ninth.
