Letter: Park Authority's approach to budget cuts not a surprise

'The article notes the adage that, When told to identify possible cuts, choose ones that will cause the most public outcry.'
letter-to-editor

To the editor: I read the GazetteLeader’s recent coverage of the Fairfax County Park Authority’s plans to propose budget cuts with great interest.

The article notes the adage that, “When told to identify possible cuts, choose ones that will cause the most public outcry.”  Now why does that not surprise me coming from the Fairfax County government?

It has been in their playbook for years when it comes to the school budget; why should it not work with the county park budget?
