Letter: More rules won't solve panhandling problem

'I have a unique proposal to deal with the panhandling situation: Don’t hand money out your window to the panhandlers.'
letter-to-editor

To the editor: Your July 10 editorial [“Getting a Grip on the Panhandling Situation”] was interesting.

So I am assuming that the proposal is more rules/laws/regulation to deal with the “situation” – which no one will enforce and no one will obey.

I have a unique proposal to deal with the panhandling situation: Don’t hand money out your window to the panhandlers.

Amazing how if there is no profit in panhandling, one is to assume that the panhandlers will just keep standing at the intersections waiting for “free stuff.”  I don’t think so.
