Letter: Gov. Youngkin again fails his constitutents

'Another rookie mistake raises the question of how far will the governor bend to satisfy his out-of-state ambition'
letter-to-editor

To the editor: From the great American songbook, “Don’t be that way.”

Gov. Youngkin, in taking office, took an oath that he would support the constitutions of the U.S. and Virginia. Everyone knows that as governor, his job is to protect the interests of everyone in the commonwealth.

His sneaky subterfuge, without public notice, taking down LGBTQ youth-resources information from the state government’s Website, and similar actions previously concerning public-health resources on abortion, sexual health and pregnancy, show that he has trouble understanding his oath.

These communities, drastically affected by his actions, are part of the citizenry that make up the great tapestry of our state.

Another rookie mistake raises the question of how far will the governor bend to satisfy his out-of-state ambition at the expense of his own citizens. How sad.
