Two suspects are in custody following a Nov. 27 home robbery in McLean, Fairfax County police said.

At 5:45 a.m. that day, officers responded to a burglary in the 1300 block of Spring Hill Road in McLean. Three suspects forcibly entered the victim’s residence, brandished a firearm and demanded money, police said. The men allegedly assaulted two victims inside the home, then ran from the residence.

One victim was taken to the hospital for injuries considered not life-threatening, police said.

Other officers, including ones with the police department’s helicopter and K9 units, responded to assist with the search. Police in a helicopter spotted one of the suspects, who was attempting to conceal himself by lying on the ground.

Officers arrested Jaquan Ross, 32, of Lorton, on scene. Authorities have charged him with three counts of abduction, three counts of robbery, burglary, malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

As detectives continued their investigation, they identified Elijah Thomas, 24, of Dumfries as one of the men involved. The police department’s Fugitive Track and Apprehension Unit on Nov. 30 took Thomas into custody. Authorities have charged Thomas with three counts of abduction, three counts of robbery, burglary, malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and felon in possession of a firearm.

Both men are being held without bond. Police do not think this incident was a random act and detectives are continuing their investigation to identify the third man involved.
