Next snow chance arrives Tuesday night

The 75-degree Friday we saw will be receding quickly

Welcome to a Northern Virginia winter: The 75-degree high of Friday is making way for the possibility of snow this coming Tuesday [Jan. 30].

It's probably unlikely to be a blizzard, and may turn out to be mostly rain, but the GazetteLeader's weather partner, AccuWeather, isn't ruling out the white stuff.

Before then, expect rain on Sunday, but temperatures should not dip low enough to cause it to turn into sleet, freezing rain or snow. Monday should be dry but breezy, with some sun peeking through Tuesday before any storminess arrives.
