Police: Store employee assaulted as robber makes escape

Incident occurred March 26 at Pentagon City

On March 26 at 12:40 p.m., a man entered a store in the 1200 block of South Hayes Street and approached an employee about purchasing merchandise that had been secured in the store, Arlington police said.

The employee displayed the merchandise; the suspect took it and attempted to leave the store, police said.

The employee attempted to confront the suspect, who assaulted the victim before exiting. The employee suffered injuries described as minor and did not require medical attention.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’8” to 6 feet tall, with short dreadlocks.
