Kimberly Phillip, one of three members and secretary of the Arlington Electoral Board, has been elected Northern District director of the Virginia Electoral Board Association, or VEBA.

“I’m very excited,” Phillip said at the April 11 Electoral Board meeting.

Virginia’s 133 counties and cities are split into seven districts for the organization’s purposes. District directors serve two-year terms.

The Northern District “is not what you think of as ‘Northern Virginia’ – it’s much larger,” said Electoral Board vice chair Dominick Schirripa.

John Nunnally of Caroline County currently chairs the state association.

Phillip has served on the Electoral Board since 2020. She currently is the lone Democrat, sharing the dais with Republicans Schirripa and Richard Samp, who chairs the board.
