Potomac School quarterback Camren Boykin had a productive passing game against St. James.

The Potomac School Panthers (1-8, 0-3) rallied from a 16-0 halftime deficit en route to tying the game at 16 in the third quarter, then lost to the host St. James Saints, 37-28, in a Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference high-school football game Oct. 28.

Potomac School quarterback Camren Boykin was 16 of 28 passing for 341 yards and three touchdowns and no interceptions. He rushed for 16 yards.

Jack Judd caught six of those passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns and Akim Iscandari had five catches for 175 yards and a TD. Grant Joe caught four passes for 46 yards.

On defense for the Panthers, Judd and Nathan Alexander had interceptions. Alexander, Jag Giola, Jack Winslow, E.J. Schneeberg, Richard Perry, Gus Tierney and Laith Weimer were tackling leaders.

In its final game, the Potomac School lost to North Cross, 49-0, in a non-conference contest. North Cross (8-2) of Roanoke is the No. 1 seed in the Division II private-school state playoffs in Virginia.

The Panthers moved the ball little on offense. Quarterback Boykin passed for 51 yards and the team had negative rushing yards. Gioia had one catch for 22 yards.

On defense for Potomac School, Tierney recovered a fumble and Sully Stoufer and Winslow combined for a sack.

The Friday night home game against North Cross was played under temporary lights, the second time that has occurred in program history. A night game was played their last season.

Seven of Potomac School's opponents had winning records this season, with three or more advancing to postseaon action.

The Panthers were a Division I state playoff team last season, but graduated many top players from that squad.
