Vienna Town Council members on May 20 unanimously awarded a $200,000 contract for disposal of construction and demolition debris from projects undertaken in fiscal year 2025 by the town’s Department of Public Works and its Water and Sewer divisions.

The town competitively bid the contract, but received only one offer from BFI Transfer Systems of Virginia LLC, which is doing business as Republic Services Leesburg Transfer Station. Town officials determined the company was a responsive and responsible bidder and had met the contract’s specifications.
