The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold an online public-information meeting Thursday, Feb. 29 on the planned rehabilitation of the eastbound Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) bridge over Route 123 (Dolley Madison Boulevard).

The project team will make a short presentation beginning at 7 p.m. and answer questions after the presentation.

The bridge was built in 1963. The project aims to improve safety, increase vertical clearance under the bridge and extend the overall life of the bridge, VDOT officials said.

The project scope includes replacing the concrete deck, parapets and steel beams while repairing repairing the piers and abutments.

VDOT also is accepting public comment on the proposal through March 21.

The meeting recording and PDF presentation will be posted online at vdot.virginia.gov/TollRoad123, which also provides information about the Feb. 29 meeting.
