The Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA) invites community input on 24 candidate projects as part of its fiscal 2024-2029 Six-Year Program.
Nine Northern Virginia localities and the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) have submitted project proposals seeking regional funding from NVTA.
With funding requests totaling nearly $1 billion, the projects cover various transportation modes including transit, rail, roadway enhancements, technology, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, and intersection/interchange improvements.

NVTA officials expect to adopt the fiscal 2024-29 Six-Year Program during at their July 11 meeting.
