A quick-moving band of winter weather may knock around Northern Virginia Tuesday evening [Jan. 30] into Wednesday morning before pulling out of the region.

That's according to AccuWeather, the weather partner of the GazetteLeader, which is suggesting a fine line between rain and snow will exist as the next weathermaker approaches and moves through the area.

Tuesday night's projected low of around 34 degrees could be just enough to make for a slick morning commute under cloudy skies on Wednesday. Some sun may break through on Thursday, with temperatures slightly above 50 degrees to ring in the month of February.
