A man living in the 1000 block of Ware Street, S.W., told Vienna police on Oct. 31 at 12:28 p.m. that he had received an e-mail he believed was from the Best Buy Geek Squad to renew his account.
The resident provided bank-account information to pay for the renewal, then later received a notification from his bank regarding an attempt to transfer a large sum of money from his account.
