A woman was legally parked in a handicapped space at Kaizen MMA, 124 Branch Road, S.E., on April 13 at 11:58 a.m. when a man parked next to her in what she believed was another handicapped spot, Vienna police said.
She confronted the man, believing he was in violation by parking in the space, and an argument ensued, police said.
While arguing, both parties pulled their phones out. The man believed the woman was recording him and reportedly pushed her hand, which resulted in the woman’s pursuing charges against him for assault.
Police issued the 62-year-old Vienna man a summons charging simple assault and released him on his signature.
