More FCPS students earn National Merit Scholarships

Thirteen additional Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) students have been named winners of 2024 Merit Scholarship awards. They are part of a group of more than 2,900 National Merit Finalists chosen to receive scholarships financed by higher education institutions.

Winners of the scholarships from the GazetteLeader coverage area, with their probable career fields in parentheses, are:

Ryan Liu of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology (biology), National Merit University of Texas at Dallas Scholarship; Benjamin Rubin of Thomas Jefferson (mathematics), National Merit Washington and Lee University Scholarship; Austin Thomas of Thomas Jefferson (computer science), National Merit University of Maryland Scholarship;  Anusha Das of Thomas Jefferson (bioengineering), National Merit University of Minnesota Scholarship; Ryan Yi of Thomas Jefferson (computer science), National Merit University of Maryland Scholarship.
