January is National Blood Donor Month and the McLean Volunteer Fire Department encourages local residents to participate in its blood drive on Friday, Jan. 26.

The fire department, in partnership with Inova Blood Donor Services, will hold the event from 1 to 5:30 p.m. at its station, located at 1455 Laughlin Ave. in McLean.

The Inova Blood Donor Services Bloodmobile will be parked in the station’s parking lot. Donors must have photo identification and should allow one hour for their blood donations.

Masking is optional for all blood donors and team members.

In honor of National Blood Donor Month, all donors will receive a sweatshirt (while supplies last). Donors must complete the screening process to receive the giveaway.
