The Fairfax County Planning Commission on Nov. 1 swore in its newest member, Jeremy Hancock, who will represent Providence District.

Hancock, who was sworn in by Fairfax County Deputy Clerk of the Court Gerarda Culipher, has resigned as president of the Providence District Council so as to serve on the commission.

The Planning Commission’s previous Providence District representative, Phillip Niedzielski-Eichner, has moved to a vacant at-large position on the 12-member body and will continue to serve as chairman.
