Fairfax man charged with felony hit-and-run after Vienna crash

Suspect reportedly was driving on revoked license and has warrant out of Pennsylvania

Following a vehicle accident at Maple Avenue, W., and Pleasant Street, S.W., on April 8 at 7:49 a.m., the driver allegedly exchanged seats with a passenger, fled the scene and went into his business in the 300 block of Maple Avenue, W., Vienna police said.

Subsequently, an officer apprehended the driver and discovered an active warrant for his arrest in Pennsylvania, police said.

Police arrested the 30-year-old Fairfax man and took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where authorities charged him with felony hit-and-run and driving on a revoked operator’s license.

The Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office will pursue the Pennsylvania warrant, police said.
