The annual Memorial Day ceremony will be held Monday, May 27 at 11 a.m. at the Great Falls Freedom Memorial, adjacent to Great Falls Library, 9830 Georgetown Pike.

The event will feature a keynote address by Andy Wilson, president of the Great Falls Freedom Memorial Board; patriotic songs led by sisters Lucia and Allithia Aguilar; a Boy Scout color guard; and a bagpipe performance of “Amazing Grace” by local student MacPhearson Strassberg.

A beautiful and unique bell sculpture has been donated by David Lucien, who will be recognized at the May 27 ceremony. This bell will provide a very special way to commemorate the board’s annual name-reading of Great Falls natives killed in battle, organizers said.

The ceremony is open to all. Parking is available in the library’s parking lot. Attendees are encouraged but not required to bring portable chairs.

In case of rain, the ceremony will move to either the library meeting room or the Grange. Updates to the schedule will be posted at www.gffreedom.org.
