What can spew 3,000 gallons of water and 420 gallons of foam when the need arises?

If you’re thinking the answer is a newborn baby, close, but not quite.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority will be spending about $8.4 million for three new firefighting vehicles plus a number of sundry items as it aims to keep its fleet up to date.

The contract was up for approval at the latest authority board meeting, and includes authorization for additional purchases over a four-year window.
