Police tackling two recent robbery incidents

Incidents occurred at businesses on North Glebe Road, Crystal Drive

Arlington County police are investigating two new robbery incidents.

• On April 12 at 11:59 a.m., a man entered a business in the 200 block of North Glebe Road, approached the counter and was speaking to an employee when he reached over and stole cigarettes, Arlington police said.

The suspect exited the store but was confronted by the employee, police said. The suspect attempted to his the employee before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30 to 40 years old, 5’8” to 6’1”, 200 pounds.

• On April 14 at 2:34 p.m., a man entered a business in the 2100 block of Crystal Drive, took an employee’s backpack and attempted to leave when he was confronted by the employee, Arlington police said.

The suspect pushed the employee before discarding the backpack and fleeing on foot, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’7”.
