On April 29 at 9:27 p.m., a woman was inside her home in the 2000 block of Columbia Pike when she observed a man looking into the window of her home, Arlington police said.

The suspect then left the scene on foot, police said.

A lookout was broadcast and officers canvassed the area for the suspect. Officers subsequently located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the 1500 block of Columbia Pike and took him into custody. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the suspect had been observed peeping earlier that day.

The suspect – 60-year-old Herbert Otey of no fixed address – was arrested and charged with two counts of peeping (third or more offense within 10 years).
