Police: Threesome goes on a vehicle-tampering spree in Arlington

Targeted vehicles spanned a number of makes and models

On May 20 around 1:30 a.m., a witness observed two men force entry to a vehicle in the 4500 block of 31st Street South before fleeing in a red sedan that later was determined to have been stolen from the 2600 block of 16th Street South, Arlington police said.

During the investigation, it was determined another witness observed a male suspect make entry into a vehicle in the 4700 block of 31st Street South before entering a purple sedan driven by a female suspect. As the suspects fled the scene, they struck an unoccupied, parked vehicle before leaving the area, police said.

It was determined the suspect(s) forced entry into an additional vehicle in the area and tampered with the interior.  While on scene in the 2600 block of 16th Street South, officers located two additional vehicles that were tampered with.

The targeted vehicles varied in make and model, police said.

The suspects are described as a black male, an Hispanic male and black female, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
