On April 14 at 12:49 a.m., a man was outside a residential building in the 2700 block of 9th Street North when another man, known to him, approached, demanded cash and assaulted the victim before leaving the scene, Arlington police said.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, police said.
A lookout was broadcast and responding officers observed an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area and detained him.
The suspect – 24-year-old Mohamed Hedheli, of Arlington – was arrested and charged with attempted robbery.
