The National Chamber Ensemble opens its 2023-24 season with “Divas Night Out with Schubert” on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. at Marymount University’s Ballston Center.

The evening marks the beginning of the ensemble’s 17th season and features soprano Sharon Christman who will sing, among others, Schubert’s “Die Forelle” (“The Trout”).

“Her extraordinary range and sparkling personality are a perfect combination with one of the most popular chamber works of all time that will make for an evening not to be missed,” said ensemble artistic director Leo Sushansky.

In addition to Sushansky (violin), members of the ensemble include Carlos Cesar Rodriguez (piano), Uri Wassertzug (viola), Susanna Mendlow (cello) and Kimberly Parillo (double bass).
