The Arlington County Democratic Committee's field for County Board is expected to grow by at least one at the party's monthly meeting on March 1.

That would bring to six, at a minimum, those in the running to seek the seats of incumbents Katie Cristol and Christian Dorsey, who are not planning on seeking re-election.

Previously announced contenders include Tony Weaver, Natalie Roy, J.D. Spain Sr., Jonathan Dromgoole and Maureen Coffey. Democrats have until April 6 to file for the June 20 primary, which will be conducted on a ranked-choice basis.

A host of candidate announcements for other posts also can be expected at the March 1 meeting. All told, 13 offices are on the ballot in Arlington in November.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Lubber Run Community Center.
