The Arlington Free Clinic opened 2024 by welcoming its new president/CEO and incoming board of directors.

Lesley Daigle has been tapped to succeed Nancy White as president/CEO of the social-safety net organization. A nurse and lawyer, she has spent the past decade at VHC Health (Virginia Hospital Center), where she managed compliance, focusing on the health and safety of patient care.

“She is a warm and charismatic leader with an outstanding reputation and a clear passion for the Free Clinic’s mission,” officials said.

“2024 marks not only Lesley’s arrival but also the Free Clinic’s 30th anniversary, a double cause for celebration as we embark on a new decade of service,” said the organization’s board chair, Jen Sosin.

“As we commemorate AFC’s milestone anniversary and enter a new era, Lesley’s vision and expertise promise exciting prospects for our community,” Sosin said.

Serving with Sosin on the Free Clinic’s executive committee for 2024 are Jennifer Brearey (vice chair); Mary Margaret Lewis, MD (secretary); John Couric (treasurer); Ana Alvarez (governance committee chair); and Pepper Binner (development committee chair).
