Will home prices in Virginia be higher, lower or about unchanged, in three months’ time, from where they are today?
The crystal ball being used by Realtors across the commonwealth is hazy. To say the least.
Asked by the Virginia Realtors trade group to forecast where prices would be by the end of February 2024, 32 percent projected they would be higher.
And 32 projected they would be lower.
And, as you already may have guessed, 32 percent projected they would be roughly unchanged.
The percentages are based on the responses of 787 members of the Virginia Realtors organization, including 528 who participated in at least one transaction over the preceding month. The monthly “flash survey” of sentiment was open online from Nov. 22-30.
