The Vienna Optimists’ Farmers Market will make its springtime return to the Vienna Community Center on Saturday, May 6 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Now in its 16th season, the market – to run through the summer – will feature about two dozen local vendors, accompanied by lively music from local performers. Upcoming performances include the Jazz Trotters on May 6; Swingology on May 13; Accotink Rising on May 20; and the Carter Farm Band on May 27.

In addition, the Ayr Hill Garden Club and Lucy’s Charity Plant Sale will be on site.

Funds raised are used by the Optimist Club to support local students through awards, donations and support of organizations.

Founded in 1955, the Vienna club works with youth in the James Madison, Oakton and George C. Marshall high school pyramids, along with Scout troops, youth groups, youth sports and other local programs.
