If Vienna Elementary School is hosting a spelling bee this year, the final word should be “sesquicentennial.”
Friday, May 19 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. has been set aside to celebrate the elementary school’s 150th birthday. Former staff and students are encouraged to put the event on their calendars, along with community members.
“This sesquicentennial celebration will celebrate the rich history within Vienna, as well as the advancements that have come,” school officials said. “We welcome all past, current and future Vikings, along with their families, to help us mark this big occasion.”
