Last fall, Madison started the high-school football season 0-3, so the Warhawks have reversed that beginning this year.
Against Robinson, the Warhawks led 26-0 at halftime, gained 322 yards and survived three turnovers. Dominic Knicely ran for 66 yards and three touchdowns and quarterback Cael Yates had a one-yard scoring run and completed five passes for 118 yards. Matthew Weiler ran for 99 yards.
Cord Yates and Tyler Heinzelmann (75 yards) each had two catches, and Danika Pfeghardt kicked two extra points.
On defense, Luke Jarvis, Caleb Smith, Salomon Hanifi, Charlie Backman (two tackles for losses) and Oscar Espanol were leading tacklers. Heath Tunstall and Quincy Dewispelaere recovered fumbles.
