Glenn Youngkin will become the most recent Virginia governor to deliver a commencement address at George Mason University when he participates in spring graduation ceremonies on May 18 at EagleBank Arena.

“We look forward to welcoming Gov. Youngkin to speak to our graduating students, who we expect will comprise the largest and most diverse class of graduates ever,”  Mason president Gregory Washington said.

“Gov. Youngkin’s drive for life-long learning and his entrepreneurial mindset is what we cultivate in all of our graduates,” Washington said.

Among previous governors to deliver commencement remarks to graduating Mason students: Terry McAuliffe (2016), Tim Kaine (2007), Mark Warner (2003) and Jim Gilmore (1998).
