Yorktown senior lacrosse player sets second team career record

Attack needs two goals to break that program best mark, as well

A couple of significant individual milestones already have been achieved by one member of the Yorktown Patriots boys lacrosse team this season, with maybe another to come.

Yorktown senior attacker Hudson Greene recently became the program’s all-time leader in assists, breaking the old mark of 106 held by Charlie Tiene. Earlier in the season, Greene became the team’s all-time points leader.

Next, he has a good chance to additionally become the team’s all-time goal-scorer. That mark is held by current Yorktown assistant coach Joe Crawford with 143. Greene has 142 with three regular-season matches remaining.

“Having a player with the talent of Hudson Greene makes a big difference on offense,” Yorktown coach Greg Beer said.

Greene will play at the next level at Bowdoin College in Maine.

During the high-school football season last fall, Greene was a quarterback for the region-playoff Yorktown team, earning all-district honors.
