Marymount University athletic teams have ordered many championship rings as a result of winning conference crowns.

Over the last two school years, Marymount University athletic teams have purchased many championship rings to commemorate multiple milestone and conference titles won by the Division III men’s and women’s programs.

• Marymount’s total of 12 Atlantic East Conference championships in 2023-24 are the most any league school has won in a single year since it was formed, surpassing the Saints’ own mark of winning 10 the previous school year.

• A total of 22 conference titles over two seasons gives Marymount the most total championships in league history, with 31.

• The women’s golf team added the Centennial Conference crown for a total of 13 overall titles in 2023-24.

• Eight teams won their first-ever conference titles during the 2023-24 campaigns.

• Marymount swept the conference’s Commissioner’s Cups and Mike Drass Trophy in both 2022-23 and 2023-24. The awards are given for overall athletic excellences.

• Seven Marymount teams competed in NCAA Division III tournaments in 2022-23 and 2023-24.

“Last year was so surreal. Going back to that moment was my first time winning a championship in my entire career, so that was really special. Being able to cut the net down on our court was something that was really exciting,” said Chandler Eddleton, a member of a conference-champion Marymount women’s basketball team.

Other Marymount athletes had similar comments.

“Having my last home game of my volleyball career be the one where we won back-to-back conference championships is something I will never forget and will cherish forever,” women’s volleyball player Sydney Sands said.

Montell Cooper played for the conference-champion men’s basketball squad.

“We played so hard; we worked so hard for this. Three straight appearances in the championship, two straight titles – we couldn’t ask for anything more,” he said.
