To the editor: Why do we need Natalie Roy on the Arlington County Board? Because she is the only candidate who will bring new energy, transparency, responsiveness and common sense back to Arlington’s government.

Roy is singularly qualified, because she alone has the fearlessness to ask the tough questions and tell it like it is. Her focus is on the future of Arlington, and she has the proven leadership skills to bring us all together to face the challenging issues ahead.

Roy knows our community. She is a 30-plus-year Arlington resident; mother of three who attended county schools; activist who has contributed to the community, schools and the county; a small-business owner and Realtor; and environmentalist.

She is a progressive with a big heart and an analytic mind who will work with everyone in the community to solve the county’s most pressing problems.

If you want someone who will work for a sustainable future while preserving what makes Arlington such a wonderful place to live, Natalie Roy should be your #1 choice.
