We come now to praise Arlington County Board members, for doing the right thing and forcing a reluctant staff to bring the government’s two nature centers back to full operating hours after years of self-imposed cutbacks.
County Board Chairman Libby Garvey deserves the lion’s share of the credit, as she’s been on this issue ever since the pandemic rebound.
But the battle is only half won. It’ll now be up to those same County Board members to ensure that the funded positions are filled to get the hours back where they should be.
