Plans to raze Arlington United Methodist Church and replace it with an assisted-living facility will wait a month before consideration by Arlington leaders.

Initially planned to be discussed at September meetings of the Planning Commission and County Board, the proposal has been pushed back to October.

Plans call for a 99-unit facility to be operated by Sunrise Senior Living at 716 South Glebe Road. In addition to supplanting the church, a single-family home also will be razed as part of the project.
