On June 7 at 10:17 a.m., two men known to each other were inside a residence in the 200 block of North Glebe Road when a verbal dispute turned physical, Arlington police said.
During the incident, one of the men allegedly assaulted the other with a knife, police said.
Responding officers issued commands for the suspect to exit the residence, police said. The suspect exited and was noncompliant with officers before being taken into custody, they said.
During the course of the investigation, a knife was recovered, police said.
The suspect – 47-year-old Richard Smith of Arlington – was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.
The victim declined medical attention, police said.
