Police: Vehicles broken into, one stolen, in Crystal City incidents

Suspect remains on the loose; investigation is continuing

On May 21 between 1:38 p.m. and 2:27 p.m., a man entered a parking garage in the 2800 block of Crystal Drive and tampered with two automobiles and a motorcycle before being confronted by security personnel, Arlington police said.

The suspect then fled.

During the course of the investigation, an additional vehicle was determined to be tampered with in a garage in the 3400 block of Potomac Avenue and personal items stolen. Another vehicle, a 2012 Kia with Ohio license plate HVB2615, was reported stolen from a parking garage in the 1700 block of Crystal Drive.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, 5’5: to 5’8”, wearing black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
