On Jan. 31 at 10:33 p.m., a man was inside his parked vehicle in the 4000 block of Wilson Boulevard when two men approached and engaged him in conversation, Arlington police said.
During the interaction, the suspects opened the vehicle’s doors, forced the driver out and stole the vehicle, police said.
A lookout was broadcast and Virginia State Police located the vehicle outside Arlington, initiating a vehicle pursuit. When the vehicle re-entered Arlington on Interstate 395, Arlington officers subsequently joined the pursuit.
The chase was called off when the stolen vehicle crossed into the District of Columbia. The vehicle later was found unoccupied there.
No injuries were reported.
The suspects are described as black males, both roughly 6 feet tall with thin builds.
