Police: Suspect brandishes firearm, attempts to run over woman

On Jan. 24 at 12:33 a.m., a woman was walking in the area of North Quinn Street at 18th Street North when a black SUV pulled up next to her, Arlington police said.

The driver of the vehicle began yelling at her, parked his vehicle, exited and approached the victim while making threatening statements, police said.

The suspect subsequently brandished a firearm at the victim before re-entering the vehicle and attempting to reverse into the victim, police said. The victim was able to move to avoid being struck, and the suspect fled the scene, police said.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his 40s, 6 feet tall or 6’1”, with a thin build and facial hair.
